By the way...

This happened today.

AT5 - Het Weer van 9 September

You can tell i'm nervous by How Enthusiastic I am with High Voice! hahaha. But cool anyway. I can now say I was on Television. In Holland, none the less. Me and my girl.

Cool hey?

  1. Very cool! I wish I knew what you were saying! The boys caught me watching it and wanted to watch it over and over. I wonder if this is what the world sounds like to them - hints of familiar words with a big ? as to what we're talking about :) - M

    1. Ha! My presentation is waaay Wack...mostly because I was a bit nervous - being on television while my Dutch is only so-so. But in the end, I did present the weather to Amsterdam. Who would have thought? Crazy eh? Yes the whole language concept spins me around sometimes, how we understand it, how words mean what they do - watching my kids here has really grounded that, how their brains work - how they try to help me find the correct Dutch word even though they know next to 0 English words...and amazing how many times they actually can help me. Language and children fascinate me. As does language in general. Anyway, yes hehe I presented the weather to Amsterdam. :)

    2. Yes --- language and children fascinate me also. :) And that's so cool that they pick regular people to present the weather. I can't tell that your presentation is wack ;-) I caught some words like september, temperature, etc... so that makes sense now what you were doing. I miss the days where I was practicing French. I can only imagine what it would be like to be IN the country hearing it come from it's motherland. :)

And I may or may not have forwarded it to everyone in the office. :)

We all loved it. I think I watched it 4 times.
