Catch-Up

So much to catch up on...I'll just post bunches of photos, but it won't be a complete summary of the past month. Seems like you'll just have to browse through photos when I'm back. :) These photos are really out of order, sorry - there's so many though and I dont want to spend the time organizing.

Making Apple sauce
No idea what these are...

Sjoelen is heavy stuff
With the Hoogendams
Kolonisten van Katan!

Rijksmuseam
My mother got excited.
Madurodam! great for photos

I'm so sneaky
Dam Square, Madurodam

Dick and my mother
In Utrecht. This statue was in remembrance of those who fought in WWII

At Vlaardingen Voetbal
Eating with Ad, Nany, and Eva at Ad & Nanny's new place
We went running in the rain. My mother is a squirrel as she runs. I'm like a elephant...the whole ground shakes i think.
Public Transportation, step 1.
Again at the Rijksmuseam
Public Transportation, step 2 - The train
From Madurodam you may choose where you'd like to visit next.
Ed, Dad, Janny, my mother.
My mother and Atie

Dad finally got his patat!
My mom made us a whole American meal, with Apple Pie made with a wine bottle as a rolling pin. Oh the joys of improvising.
Femke and GertJan
Bok Bier - a fall beer. Heavy stuff, not my favorite, but it's still quite tasty
Visited my lovely friend Marlene and her family. Took a walk with Marlene, Anne and Mia - but Mia got tired so she and Marlene turned around. Anne and I kept walking and it was beautiful. Schipluiden, I say it again, is my favorite. And Anne was so animated telling me all about...everything. Loved it.
Anne and her new trick
Mia can do it too!
Utrecht Centraal - some of the bike parking there.
Femke reading to GJ after dinner - there is a sort of "Read aloud competition" that Femke is practicing for and GertJan was counting her mistakes haha
My parents on top of the Corrie Ten Boom house.
An old ship I saw.

Along my running route

Michiel and his friend Wouter sweeping the tuin. Of their own choice. they stayed out there the whole afternoon - it was great to watch!
For Tante Tonny's birthday I came to Wognum. Two houses down was a John Deere business and Peter, Karoline  and their children and I walked around

Michel and Bernadette (must get a photo of her soon!) have hosted and welcomed me many many times into their home. Always a nice time.

GJ and Marlies took us to a very nice restaurant. My mother had her first Tar-tar

Until next time (and see you soon!)
Ashley
